Deep Sleep May Take the Edge Off: As anyone who’s ever been sleep deprived knows, a poor night’s sleep can cramp your mood the next day, but can a good night’s sleep actually help with anxiety? UC Berkeley neuroscientists Matthew Walker and Eti Ben Simon investigate the link between sleep and anxiety. “The more time you spend in deep non-REM sleep, the less anxious you are in the morning,” said Ben Simon in reporting her preliminary findings at the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting this week in San Diego.” Read more about their findings here
